This project was inspired by a built hotel in Portugal designed by Pedra Silva Arquitectos in the beautiful Ericeira region. We were inspired by this piece of architecture and wanted to rebuild it in Unreal Engine 5. This was a personal project used as a practicing exercise and to explore the use of lumen as a real-time lighting solution for the film and the path tracer lighting solution for the stills. It is great to see how lumen is able to match the path tracer for certain use cases, making rendering much faster.
